simple things

crayons on fingers
pouring water from a cup
playing with a toy boat
putting a wash cloth over his head
washing his own hair
playing with bubbles
occasionally peeing in the tub = bath time is over
singing
drawing a pumpkin patch with a blue crayon
pouring water on his head and hearing him laugh as it splashes over his face

these are the simple things that I want to always remember

you have to keep them perforated

I am so ready for spring. Sandals, loose/comfy dresses, color!! I love when basics have an added textural component. Perforated details are popping up in shoes, handbags, and apparel. I would love to get a new handbag/clutch for spring with this detail.

Georgia

Georgia was living at the Atlanta Humane Society when we got her. When we went into her area she was jumping all over us and licking us non-stop. I could hear the few people around us saying "that dog is hyper", "you have to be crazy to adopt that dog". But we knew she was supposed to go home with us. Her energy is on.all.the.time., except when sleeping. (See picture below with Davis). When everything else is still, Georgia is moving.

georgia in a nutshell:

her way of greeting you is to lick you all over till you have tongue burn (gross I know)

definitely a lap dog. has to be snuggled

turns into a completely different dog when eating...out of Baxter's bowl. She will bite your toe off, no lie, if you try to get Baxter's bowl away.

rarely barks. when she does it is a deep bark and always makes us die laughing

Ten pounds of energy

has two different colored eyes. Light blue and dark brown

first name was Meghan..we changed to Georgia

has an underbite

drinks water like a camel

cleans our kitchen floor daily

sits in the bathroom with me in the morning while I dry my hair

scared of being close to Baxter

loves getting a bath and haircut

doesn't mind when I dress her up (the pic below)

Baxter

Looking through my pics today and saw this one I took of Baxter recently. The picture describes him perfectly. Always deep in thought and too cool for school.

baxter:

has to eat his food in the bowl...on the rug... in the dining room

leaves the room if the TV/music is too loud

steals Georgia's bones or treats

loves to wake Davis up in the morning

would live outside all.the.time. if he could

likes his personal space but snuggles occasionally

protective

not a "go fetch" it dog. prefers to fetch and hide under the bed never to come out

loyal

all you need is love...and a dog

pom poms

this is not a post about cheerleaders

i have noticed pom poms {popping back up} in fashion recently. they are not alone anymore sitting on top of our knit winter hats. they are a fun addition to clothing and home decor. here are some of my favorite pom pom adorned items.
